Redistricting Process – Monterey Peninsula Water Management District
Every ten years, local governments use new census data to redraw their division lines to reflect how local populations have changed. As required by Elections Code section 22000 et seq., the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District must adjust the division lines to ensure the community is equally represented. The District will engage communities in the redistricting process by holding public hearings and/or workshops and doing public outreach.
