1. Avoid loss of water due to leaks. Fix leaks promptly.
2. Use airblowers, or brooms to sweep sidewalks, not potable water.
3. Irrigate at times when the water will not be lost to evaporation or wind-before 9:00 A.M. or after 5:00 P.M.
4. Use a shut-off nozzle on your hose when hand watering or washing cars.
5. Turn off water promptly to prevent water running to waste in the gutter.
6. Use recycled water in decorative fountains and ponds.
7. Restaurants must serve water only on request.
