SUMMARY:   District staff is working with Access Monterey Peninsula (AMP) on production of a 6-minute promotional video that will highlight the District’s activities.  At the August 30, 2006 Committee meeting, a draft script staff prepared was reviewed, and staff was requested to make changes to the text.  Attached as Exhibit 1-A is a revised script for the video, and attached as Exhibit 1-B is a revised timeline for completion of the project.

 

RECOMMENDATION:   The committee should review and approve the script.   If the committee members have suggestions for changes to the script, please be prepared to advise staff of those changes at the meeting.

 

BACKGROUND:   The District is an Associate Member of AMP.  As an Associate Member, the District is entitled to production of one 30 to 60 second public service announcement or equivalent production services.  In 2005, as an alternative to a public service announcement, AMP agreed to produce a short video for an additional fee of $495.   The video was not completed in 2005, so AMP agreed to work with the District to produce the video in 2006.  Much of the film footage will be recorded and edited by District staff, in order to remain within the budget set by AMP.
