Executive Assistant/Clerk to the Board
Staff Member for the following committees: Public Outreach, Rules & Regulations Review, Water Demand, Legislative Advocacy, Water Supply Planning, Policy Advisory, Ordinance No. 152 Oversight Panel, and the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project Governance Committee.
Arlene Tavani is Executive Assistant to the General Manager and Clerk to the Board of Directors. She provides administrative support to the Water Management District’s Board of Directors, its standing and advisory committees, and also the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project Governance Committee. She facilitates communication between the General Manager’s office and the Board of Directors, staff and the public. In addition, Arlene coordinates preparation of responses to Public Records Act requests.
Arlene is a lifelong resident of the Monterey Bay area. She served on the Monterey County Commission on the Status of Women for six years, and is a graduate of Leadership Salinas Valley. She is a founding member of the Association of Board Clerks and Executive Assistants; belongs to ARMA International; and has completed Board Clerks training through the California Special Districts Association.
