Under the Brown Act, public comment for matters on the agenda must relate to that agenda item and public comments for matters not on the agenda must relate to the subject matter jurisdiction of this legislative body. This is a warning that if a member of the public attending this meeting remotely or in-person violates the Brown Act by failing to comply with these requirements, then the Chair may request that speaker be muted. If a member of the public attending this meeting in-person engages in disruptive behavior that disturbs the orderly conduct of the meeting, they may be removed from the meeting after a warning.

ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS TO THE AGENDA – The General Manager will announce agenda corrections and proposed additions, which may be acted on by the Board as provided in Sections 54954.2 of the California Government Code.

Review Proposed MPWMD Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-2026 Budget and Resolution 2025-05

 

 

 

 

 

Recommended Action:  The Board will review the proposed budget for FY 2025-2026.  General direction will be given to staff, but the Board will take no formal action.  The Board is scheduled to consider adoption of the budget at the regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025.  Some issues the Directors may discuss in relation to the proposed Budget could be brought forward for further consideration at future meetings of the Board.

Send written comments to District Office, 5 Harris Court, Building G, Monterey, CA or online at  comments@mpwmd.net.  Include the following subject line: "PUBLIC COMMENT ITEM #" (insert the agenda item number relevant to your comment).  Written comments must be received by 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025.  All submitted comments will be provided to the Board of Directors, compiled as part of the record, and placed on the District’s website as part of the agenda packet for the meeting. Correspondence is not read during the public comment portion of the meeting.
