California is experiencing the fourth year of a severe drought. Although the Monterey Peninsula is one of the lowest per-person, per-day water users in the state, our district is being asked to conserve even more. Through the hard work of your District Board of Directors and staff, that conservation goal is now only 8% over water use in 2013. This is a requirement of the State Water Resources Control Board and one that we are taking very seriously.
Your Water Management District is here to help. We offer a wide variety of water saving information and devices including water-wise house calls, rebates on water wise fixtures and free water-saving devices.
For more information on how you can help reach our goal, review the conservation sections of our website, visit Monterey Water Conservation or call (831) 658-5601.
