Purpose and Beneficiaries of Project: The nature of proposed Ordinance No. 111 is to
amend MPWMD Rules and Regulations that govern required permits for creation or
expansion of water distribution systems to include definitions related to
desalination projects. The ordinance
purpose is to better define how desalination projects are regulated. Beneficiaries are water users and
environmental resources within the MPWMD.
