SUMMARY: Exhibit 2-A is the Public Outreach Plan that the Board adopted on June 16, 2008. Exhibit 2-B is a list of suggested additions to the Public Outreach Plan and its “Tools & Methods”.
RECOMMENDATION: The Committee should review the suggestions and consider forwarding those that they concur with to the Board for public comment, then direct District staff to amend the Public Outreach Plan with any additional “Tools & Methods” approved by the Board. The Public Outreach Committee reviewed this item on June 29, 2011 and voted _-_ to recommend ______________.
BACKGROUND: The District Board adopted a Public Outreach Plan on June 16, 2008. The Senior Fisheries Biologist, Kevan Urquhart, recently forwarded a list of suggested public outreach actions to District management, some of which were already part of the 2008 Public Outreach Plan. New or modified suggestions that were not directly, part of the existing Public Outreach Plan are presented in Exhibit 2-A for the Committees review, discussion, and consideration. The Committee may choose to accept, reject, table or modify any of these suggestions before approving any of them to be forwarded to the full Board for consideration.
