SUMMARY: Attached for review as Exhibit 2-A, is a list of sponsorship opportunities that are still available for the Association of California Water Agencies Fall Conference. The deadline to submit the sponsorship reservation form is October 25, 2010.
RECOMMENDATION: Review the attached and determine if the District should take advantage of a sponsorship opportunity.
BACKGROUND: On August 4, 2010, the Public Outreach Committee recommended that the District not authorize funds to participate in the ACWA Centennial Sponsorship Program. On August 16, 2010, the Board acknowledged ACWA’s centennial when it unanimously adopted Resolution 2010-12 congratulating ACWA on its centennial anniversary. At the August 23, 2010 Chair/Vice Chair meeting, Director Brower requested that the Legislative Committee consider if it would be appropriate to promote the District and increase its name recognition through participation in a sponsorship activity.
