SUMMARY: Exhibit 16-A is the draft 2015 Annual Report for the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District. On March 8, 2016 the Public Outreach Committee reviewed the report and agreed that it should be submitted to the Board for adoption. Graphics will be incorporated into the final report before it is posted on the District’s website and made available to the public.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Board accept public comment, then direct District staff to finalize the 2015 MPWMD Annual Report. Directors are asked to submit any written comments or edits on the report to District staff by Monday, March 28, 2016.
BACKGROUND: The District’s enabling legislation requires that the District prepare an annual written report of the activities of the District in the protection and augmentation of water supplies of the District. The legislation further requires that a public hearing be held each year regarding the contents of the report before it is finalized.
