SUMMARY: Attached
as Exhibit 1-A is the version of
the Pure Water Monterey Groundwater Replenishment (GWR) and Castroville
Seawater Intrusion Project “Source Waters and Water Recycling” Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) that was approved by the Monterey County Water Resources
Agency Board on September 22, 2014. It
was also approved by the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency on
September 29th and considered by the Marina Coast Water District on October
6th and by the City of Salinas and the Monterey County Board of
Supervisors on October 7th. A
summary of benefits is attached as Exhibit 1-B. The redline version attached shows edits made
from the draft version approved by Water Supply Planning Committee.
RECOMMENDATION: The Water
Supply Planning Committee recommends that the Board adopt the MOU.
