SUMMARY: On December 6, 2013, California American Water is scheduled to submit to the Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project Governance Committee the draft final Design/Build contract between Cal-Am and the preferred contractor for construction of Cal-Am’s proposed desalination project. The Governance Committee is scheduled to meet on December 11, 2013 to review and comment on the Design/Build contract. The Board of Directors will review the Design/Build contract documents and consider providing direction to the Water Management District’s representative as to whether to support the contract at the Governance Committee meeting. The contract materials and Cal Am’s recommendation to the Governance Committee will not become publicly available until December 6, 2013; therefore, they will be provided under separate cover and at the December 9, 2013 Board meeting.
