MPWMD Mission Statement

A Mission/Purpose Statement should state WHY the organization exists and WHOM it serves. As shown below, the District’s Mission Statement has been unchanging through the years. This statement appears on our website and in the annual budget document. Is there any desire among the Board to alter the District’s Mission Statement?

1997 - today:

The mission of the Monterey Peninsula Water Management District is to manage, augment and protect water resources for the benefit of the community and the environment.
