Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9 am in the District conference room.

Action Items
1. Receive Minutes of July 7, 2011 Committee Meeting
On a motion by Director Markey and
second of Director Pendergrass, the minutes were unanimously approved on a vote
of 3 – 0.
2. Consider Placement of Ads for Notice of August 25, 2011 Board Workshop on Alternative Water Supply Planning
The committee members agreed that the August 25, 2011 Board Workshop should be advertised in local newspapers and on the internet, and the budget should be limited to $2,000. The committee suggested specific language that should be included in the advertisements, and requested that Director Doyle work with Ms. Tavani on finalizing the text and graphics.

3. Update
on Recruitment for Public Outreach Liaison
Ms. Schmidlin reported that advertisements for the position had been placed on internet job listings, including trade and public sector sites, and in some print publications. All applications must be received by August 26, 2011 and interviews would be conducted on September 9, 2011.
