EXHIBIT 7-A

SCOPE OF WORK

Contractor shall:

1.      Follow the Procedure for Landscape Irrigation Audits and Budgets (Exhibit E) when completing each Landscape Water Audit and Landscape Water Budget.

2.      Submit written progress/status reports to MPWMD every month (monthly), beginning four weeks following initiation of contract.  Status report should be provided via email to Stephanie Pintar at Steph@mpwmd.dst.ca.us, Michael Boles at Michael@mpwmd.dst.ca.us, and Joe DiMaggio at Joe.DiMaggio@amwater.com.

3.      Include documentation of customer contacts (whether by phone, facsimile, in writing, or e-mail) in bi-weekly status report.

4.      After completing the initial three audits and landscape water budgets, Contractor shall submit a copy of the written report prepared according to subparagraph B-2 of the MPWMD Procedure for Landscape Irrigation Audits and Budgets to MPWMD for review and approval. A Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor employee of MPWMD or California American Water shall approve the report format.  After the initial approval, MPWMD shall mail documents to the customer and property owner, as detailed below.

5.      As each site is completed, Contractor shall forward an electronic (PDF) of the final document to Stephanie Pintar at Steph@mpwmd.dst.ca.us, Michael Boles at Michael@mpwmd.dst.ca.us, and Joe DiMaggio at Joe.DiMaggio@amwater.com.

6.      As each site is completed, Contractor shall mail one printed copy of the completed Landscape Water Audit report and Landscape Water Budget, including supporting data, to Michael Boles at MPWMD, P.O. Box 85, Monterey, California 93942-0085.  MPWMD will forward the final document to the California American Water customer and property owner, if different than the customer.

7.      Contractor shall delete all customer information upon completion of the Landscape Water Audit and Landscape Water Budget (Exhibit F).

8.      Periodically, MPWMD may request comments and suggestions to improve the program.

9.      At the conclusion of this contract, Consultant shall provide MPWMD with a final program summary, including program recommendations, conclusions, and potential problems that have been identified in the process of administering landscape water audits and landscape water budgets per MPWMD Rule 172.
