November 1994 – Meeting Rules of the MPWMD

Rule 3: Election of Board Officers

At the first meeting in the month of January of each year, the Board of Directors shall elect a Chair, Vice-Chair, a Treasurer, and a Secretary. To encourage rotation of the chair, the Vice-Chair shall be selected as the Chair. At the first meeting after a vacancy occurs in any office, an election shall be conducted to fill that vacancy.

Rule 3.5: Rotation of Chair

The Board shall rotate its leadership among the five (5) elected members. Each January when the past Chair has held office for 12 months, the Vice-Chair shall be elected as Chair, and the following rotation shall commence for the selection of Vice-Chair:

January, 1995 Division 1 Director

January, 1996 Division 2 Director

January, 1997 Division 3 Director

January, 1998 Division 4 Director

January, 1999 Division 5 Director

Thereafter the rotation shall return to the top of this list. Should any Director decline to serve, or a vacancy occur in the Chair or Vice-Chair positions, the next Director in this rotation shall be nominated.

Rule 2: Election of Board Officers

If both the Chair and Vice-Chair are absent, the directors in attendance shall select a presiding officer to conduct that meeting.
