SUMMARY: As of March 31, 2006, a total of 51.846 acre-feet (15.1%) of the Paralta Well allocation remained available for use by the jurisdictions.

Exhibit 18-A shows the amount of water allocated to each jurisdiction from the Paralta Well Allocation, the quantities permitted in March 2006 (“changes”), and the quantities remaining.  The Paralta Allocation had one debit of 0.347 acre-feet during March 2006.

Exhibit 18-A also shows additional water credits available to each of the jurisdictions and the information regarding the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.  Any additional water credits for expired or canceled permits that were issued before January 1991 are shown as “PRE-Paralta Credits.”  Water credits used from a jurisdiction’s “public credit” account are also listed.  Transfers of commercial water credits into a jurisdiction’s allocation are included as “public credits.”  Exhibit 18-B shows the water entitlements for Quail Meadows, Pebble Beach Company, Del Monte Forest Benefited Properties, Macomber Estates, Griffin Trust, and Water West.

BACKGROUND:  The District’s Water Allocation Program, associated resource system supply limits, and jurisdictional allocations have been modified by a number of key ordinances.  These key ordinances are listed in Exhibit 18-C.
