SUMMARY: California
American Water Company (Cal-Am) staff was able to provide data for the month of
April 2003 that was reported in the June Board packet. Cal-Am had been unable
to provide report data for the months of January 2003 through March 2003 and
May 2003 due to a system problem. The problem has since been corrected and this
staff report contains the information through the month of May 2003.

are summaries of the California-American Water Company (Cal-Am) consumption
information for January, February, March and May 2003.

Cal-Am
reads all meters within its service area monthly. This report lists the total sales by jurisdiction
in acre-feet, followed by the percentage breakdown of the uses by user type. Exhibits
32-A, 32-B, 32-C, 32-D
presents information about water use by Cal-Am customers in acre-feet by each
user type for January, February, March and May 2003. Exhibit 32-E, 32-F, 32-G, 32-H
presents information about Cal-Am consumption by percentage of use for each
user type for January, February, March and May 2003.
