SUMMARY: At the March 17, 2003 meeting, the Board directed that the District prepare a response letter to the 2002 Monterey County Grand Jury Report. Directors Henson, Lehman and Erickson were authorized to prepare the letter and submit it to the full Board for approval. The Directors also requested that the letter include the Board’s position on fluoridation of the local water supply.
RECOMMENDATION: The Board should review the draft letter and the section on fluoridation, then approve both for final production and transmission to the Monterey County Grand Jury. The draft letter and section on fluoridation were not prepared in time to be included in the Board packet. The documents will be provided to the Board for review prior to the March 27, 2003 meeting. Copies will also be available for public review on the District web site, and at the meeting.
