Subject:       Sleepy Hollow Alternatives – Third Party Review

Dear Mr. Avila:

In accordance with your staff’s request, Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. would be pleased to provide a third party review of the Sleepy Hollow design.  It is anticipated this effort would include the peer review of the initial alternatives identified, review of the final design, and would include a general review of the following elements:

·   Constructability

·   Hydraulics

·   Structural design

·   Potential for damage to the facility from flooding

·   Cleaning, ease of service/maintenance/operations

At this time it is not known what the final design elements will include.  Due to this uncertainty we estimate a maximum of 80 hours of senior technical reviewer’s time, including a meeting at the District offices.  If additional alternatives are identified for review, or several reviews are required the estimate may increase.  However, at this time we feel the 80 hours should be sufficient.  This level of effort is equivalent to $13,000 in labor and direct costs.

If you have any questions, or need additional information please call.  We look forward to assisting the District in this interesting work.

Very truly yours,

Craig Von Bargen, P.E.
